The Periodic Table of Human Connections

An interactive networking game where the periodic table brings people together.

When chemistry happens not only in the lab, but also between participants.

For the EWPCS conference we created an interactive networking game. Upon arrival, participants received a playing card with their chemical element. The goal was to figure out what the cards meant, find three other elements from the same group, and, together with other players, scan the QR codes from the cards at our terminal in the correct order. The aim was to encourage conversations, spark new connections, and foster collaboration — all in the spirit of science and fun. The three fastest teams received token prizes.

Our contribution

Our achievement

The interactive networking game sparked natural yet goal-oriented communication among participants, encouraged collaboration, and at the same time enhanced the conference’s professional content with a playful element. With a creative approach, we made sure the "chemistry" between people truly worked.
